2024 Olympics

Do you think it's good for USA to bid on them?
Out of the 4 cities currently in the running - LA, SF, Boston, DC - which do you think is the best/would you want to see host? Which one do you prefer/least prefer?

Not DC, it's already so crowded there.  The traffic is horrific.

Los Angeles would be great, not only because I live there, but they have the venues already & can handle the crowds & traffic with minimal effort.

I'd like to see the Olympics in Detroit, a city that is in desperate need of a reawakening, & could use the funds available to rebuild parts of their city

Maybe Boston.  It could use the uplift and renewal the Olympics would bring.

You do know that it costs cities to hold the Olympics don't you?  Not to mention the problems it causes for the residents of that city and surrounding areas, think about it 8) :peace:

Only if they are willing to invest in it.  The spending is getting out of hand.

Don't know if the Olympics are really worth the price tag.  For some countries and cities it might draw some attention to them but not sure if any of these cities in the U.S. would really benefit from the exposure that would cost a lot.  Better for them to invest in some good tourist PR.

However, if I was going to choose one I'd choose Boston.  LA has had them twice.  SF is still in California.  DC...really??

I say LA  I live in Boston and can not picture where it would be to much traffic in the city
