Re-Make of Stephen King's IT?
« on: December 19, 2014, 06:41:38 pm »
How do you feel about the fact that there is going to be a remake of IT? Personally, as someone who still has yet to read the book, I still feel that no one can top Tim Curry as Pennywise. The new guy had better do a good job.

The only thing I like to see changed is the spider at the end... That ending totally destroyed it for me... Wanted a clown fight scen =/

Interestingly enough, I was just talking about that old mini-series with someone yesterday.  I didn't know they were re-making it.  I thought the original one was pretty good...except for that "spider" ending.  That was pretty lame.

Although I agree, Tim Curry as Pennywise is a tough act to follow.  But hopefully they do a better job of creating "IT" at the end...

I never saw the movie but I read the book many years ago.  I would be interested in seeing the new movie just as a new experience.

I have yet to read the book as well. But I've always liked the movie, I have it actually. I have to agree though that spider was just...well dumb. Tim Curry was great as Pennywise. I really can't picture anyone else in the role.

I have a problem with the ending of the original IT, but it's mainly because the IT in my mind was scarier than the one on the screen.  I don't know how anyone can get around that one.

Hope they do a good job of the remake. Hate it when people remake old movies and screw it up.

I didn't know they were making a re-make. Really liked the old one so hopefully it is as good.

I hate remakes. They need to leave classic movies alone.

The book is always better than the movie.
