Anyone else born on Christmas or had a baby surprise in the family on Christmas? What's your experience on your birthday? :)

My son who just turned 27 was born on Christmas Eve.  He was everything I wanted (because I had a LOT of problems having children).  I prayed my first would be a boy, born around Christmas time.  God heard me!!  My experience with the Christmas birthday is never cheat your child out of his or her birthday just because it falls on or near a holiday.  A "birthday" is that baby's "special day" and should ALWAYS be celebrated separately.  He never got cheated.  He got birthday gifts and Christmas gifts, and to this day, I always buy my son a birthday cake and sing "Happy Birthday" on his special day.

When he was born, the hospital put "Jingle Bells" on all the babies bassinets.  I still have that bell and hang it on my Christmas tree every year!

I was not and don't have any one born that day.   But I love the pictures of all the new babies in big red Christmas stockings and wearing Christmas beanies.
