Why do most Wal-Mart employees act so rude?

Wal-Mart treats their employees deplorably, no surprise their employees are angry and treat customers the same.

I agree! I have worked at 3 different Wal-Marts in my lifetime and all the managers and co-employees are the same! Rude! Rude! Rude! Once, a co-worker was harassing the women there and me, I was the only one to use their "open-door policy" and report it! Took forever for someone to fire that man! UH! Low pay and crappy hours are mainly to blame. Like one morning working and then the next day working a night shift or the other way around. Don't dare ask for more hours. That request could take ages to get approved!

They don't value employees and the wages are low. My husband used to work there and would tell me all kinds of stories. This still doesn't give the employees the right to be rude. In my opinion, there needs to be more training on how to interact with customers.

It's probably because of the way they are being treated by management.  That's why their employees have been protesting their stores.

Walmart has poor customer service, and I don't shop there anymore.

There not all rude just some of them might be for a variety of reasons. They d on't pay there employees well. They do give there employees but average benifits at most

I went to the Wal-Mart today because I had ordered some books by my favorite author from Wal-Mart.com.  One of the books I ordered, I already had.  They almost didn't take the book back because they said they don't take back books.  I told them I had just got them in the mail the day before.  Finally, a manager came up and took the book back.

I don't think that is being rude. Just policy. Managers can issue refunds that a normal csm can not.

Walmart employees are a touchy bunch there not exactly the most respected people around unless its by customers. There own company doesn't respect them. They get paid worse then someone working at a winco

   They have been very nice to me. Some are mean, changing price tags and making everything very expensive.

Ahhh, you just caught them on a bad day. I wouldn't worry about it because you don't have to deal with that person every day of your life!

The employees in WalMart is indeed rude, they even look down on other races its just plain messed up.

My experiences at Walmart have been pretty positive to date. However, I think in every place of business like that, with so many employees, sooner or later, you're bound to run into one that has personal issues, and no people skills.

A lot of the employees at the walmart here are extremely rude as well.  It's almost as if they think they're too good work there.  I've looked for a job for ages and would be thrilled just to have a job personally, but I guess they are better off than I am lol
