« on: January 11, 2015, 02:26:00 am »
Do you like it when changes take place at work, no matter what it is? I know change is
suppose to be good, but it is also scarey?

What do you think? ???

It depends on the change of your surroundings. It can be positive or negative. It's all how you perceive it. Always think positive and your outlook will always be positive no matter the circumstance. I had an experience at my work place where the whole office moved and it was a big change for all of us but in the back of my mind I kept having bad thoughts/feelings (being negative). Less than a year in the new place, my whole world turned upside down and coworkers who I considered my closest friends and like family turned against me and no one talks to each other. It's been over 2 yrs now and things really have  not changed but I make it work and only look out for myself now. Almost 20 yrs at this place and only 6 more to go before retirement. They will miss me when I am gone because I am their back bone! Well, I hope this helps some what to your answer...lol

Yeah! It is scary to think about changing work! Everyone and everything is so new. On the other hand I embrace change. You can start over. Ironic...

I have found that nobody likes change even if it is good for the organization. I also have learned that the company will always do what is best for itself and not the employee.

No, I don't like changes at work. Maybe it would be OK, if they were for the better, but where I work, it seems like all the changes just make things more and more inefficient. And now they are cutting back, so I'm afraid that I will  be put on first shift, in which case I'll quit.

I would love to be able to GO TO WORK, however, with Multiple Sclerosis I worked as long as I could and now can't.

I think it really depends on the changes and on the individuals. I've had to deal with several changes that happened quite fast, and never got the chance to get used to one before they changed it further or changed something else too. And I'm still fairly new to this job, so I already still had a lot of adjusting and settling in to do. If it's a useful change, then I don't really have any problems with it but these changes I'm having to adjust and re-adjust to are not useful at all and are making things a lot tougher for me and more confusing too. I'm not thrilled about the stupidity being enforced on us, because they don't realise that these ideas they have don't work for every location or just don't work for a location's particular make up of employees and such. But they won't listen to our concerns, comments or questions so it's even more frustrating and it affects our productivity negatively which then of course has them coming down on us for dropping in productivity. It's such a stupid and infuriating mess.  :sad1: :bad:

Some times change can be a really good thing, we just went to direct deposit for our checks and that has made my life a lot easier.

I wish my job would have change. We definitely need it now. We had a lazy person quit and no one was upset for that, but more changes are needed and I pray they happen soon.

Most people (me included) don't really like change.  Sometimes change is good and sometimes not.  The problem is when the company decides to change anything, the employes really have nothing to say.

Change is not always good.  No, over all I don't like changes.  Usually changes are to make things better for the company and worse for the employee.  The last big change our company made was to cut everyone's hours drastically because they got fined for letting ONE guy work full time hours and classifying him as part time and not giving him benefits of a full time employee.

The only change that I look forward to is a pay raise. Other than that It would be just another day. Well and Have us keep putting up a picture for your profile online, For what? I don't even use it. The only reason for me to be online and on my profile is when I have to input my hours.
