I buy meats in bulk and then wrap them into pound to two pound packages and freeze them. It saves a lot of money. I go to a distribution center that sell all of the extra that does not go on the trucks cheap. like I can buy a butternut squash for a $1.50 and it will weigh about 3 lbs. where in the store it is $1.58 a lb. costing me $6.00.  I can save a lot on everything I buy. I buy for us and dad. We eat good but cheap.

I don't spend money on food.  I live at home and eat my mom's cooking.  Eating home cooked meals saves quite a bit of money.

That is interesting, I usually spend about 20 dollars a day 10 for lunch and 10 for dinner.

I don't think in terms of days, but I guess my family and I spend $600 to $800 a month on food expenses. Things do seem to get higher, but there are somethings (including eggs) that just seems essential items to always have on hand. We also periodically like to go out to eat.

We eat at home so a lot so our costs are relatively low.

I have no idea, but I know that it is very low. With the way things are for me, especially even more so now, I would say that it is far below $1 per day as many times we don't eat or what we do eat is very small and combined together would be a decent meal for just one person. And we don't have coupons to use either, and no food assistance. We just have to deal. And let me tell you, it is not an easy thing to work a stressful job and a physically tough job when your stomach is telling you it needs something to eat, even just a couple of saltines, but you've nothing to offer it.

I spend between $5-10 a day eating out. Unfortunately I'm so busy at work that I'm too tired to cook and eating out is the quickest way to do this. I need to change this habit.

I normally try and just buy groceries (usually spend around $150 for a months worth) because I always get the BOGO deals and coupons. Try to make my trips as cheap as possible.

We buy most of our food from the farmer's market. It is a bit cheaper there but buying all fresh foods is expensive.
