 :) I would get the glasses checked again. Sometimes, when you get older, your eyes can change rather quickly. My wife and I have a pair of light weight lenses that set inside our glass frame for working on the computer as the monitor is right in the bifocal changeover spot. they weren't real expensive. $25 or $30 if I remember correctly. :)

I have blended lenses that combine near, mid and far distance correction.  However, in order to obtain adequate correction for close work, the optomostrist said my lenses would be too heavy.  So I needed to get a separate pair of glasses for close work.  I can't buy the drugstore ones any more because there is too great a difference between right and left eyes.  but I USED TO love to have a pair handy wherever I was in the house.

I have about five pairs.  I just need them for reading the newspaper and the computer.

i have reading glasses everywhere about 26 but i like to keep extras around also

i got a pair of bifocals a couple of years ago, and STILL am not used to them.  i understand about the falling...first time i had them on i looked down and the floor came zooming up to me lol
