I have bifocals and have had since I was 14. I am near sighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. The first time I put them after receiving them in the mail I walked out of the post office and missed the step. Boy did I learn quickly. Oh yeah I am almost 72 now. I did try contacts, but with my allegories they did not work. I keep losing them.

I recently broke down and got new bifocals. I had quit wearing them several years ago when I kept walking off things and missing steps.  I figured I hurt myself eventually.  Well, night vision got bad enough I thought I'd better re-up on them. However, they are no good for my close work and reading. Dang, I spent $250 on them! I have had them adjusted twice but still they don't work well.  SO, here I am, back to my readers.  I just collected all my scattered pairs.  I have 7 pairs of readers in the house....how many do those of you who use them have.  I bet it isn't just me who has a bunch.
I do not think I could have that many pairs of glasses hanging around. I just went to the eye doc for my every 2 year or so exam. He gives me my prescription and I go online to either goggles or eyebuy direct and get a great looking pair for about 50 bucks. Plus a light tint and scratch protection.

Oh wow, Why didn't you go back and tell them where you bought the glasses that they are not working?

I have about 3 pairs.  I like them, they add a sophisticated style. I don't know if that applies to bifocals though lol just kidding just kidding

I think I need reading glasses.  I had lasik several years ago but still can't see.

With Lasik surgery, you definitely will need readers for close up reading.  I am surprised they never mentioned that to you.

My eyes are doing great; however, I like to wear sunglasses when I go outside.  It seems like I have a tendency to lose a pair of sunglasses...

then I find a pair of sunglasses.  The universe always provides for me and I am greatly blessed to have everything I need.

Have a great day!

I never liked bifocals. I use a separate pair for my regular glasses and my reading glasses. I do need to get me a paid of night vision glasses.

lol That is what I would do.  I wear contacts and I have a friend who wears one for far sighted and one for near sighted but I would kill myself trying to do that.  I have to wear reading glasses to see anything up close.  I guess it is my age.  I hate it.
