We had 8 inches Saturday and 4 today.  It is still snowing and they said we can expect up to 18 inches before this is over!

Crazy!  I don't miss living in NY.  I don't miss dealing with the snow and crumby weather.  I have all the memories I need of winter storms past and having to drudge my way to school or work in New York.  Glad I'm in Arizona, LOL.

I have a niece who lives in upstate New York and they are getting pounded by the snow.  Hopefully things will get better soon.   :(

I live in PA and we were suppose to get about 18 inches on top if the 12 that fell already.  Woke up this morning to find the worst went north snd east and we only got about 3 inches!  I know New York, New Jersey, and New England are really getting hit.  Be safe!

Prayers for all of those in the New England area!  A special praise to the Great One for sparing us here in Northeastern Kentucky!
Have a wonderful day!

I live in the North, but West too (Northwest) and we are looking at 3 days of sunshine this week in the 50's with NO SNOW IN SIGHT (unless you count seeing the snow covered mountains as being in sight).

I agree with OldBuddy that it isn't necessarily the "North", but rather the Northeast that is getting hit hard with the winter weather lately. Here in MN, we're having a "warm" time having several weeks in the mid-30s to 40s. We had a little snow over the weekend, but it amounted to less than an inch, and had melted later that day. My friend and I had celebrated our birthdays on Saturday, and her brother surprised her by coming out here from San Fran. Every year he had teased her about the cold MN winters and had sworn that he'd never come to visit during the winter. But this year with the beautiful days we had this weekend, he admitted to her that he was pleasantly surprised that he wasn't shivering inside for the duration of his trip like he had feared, but rather that he'd be willing to visit again if the weather was always this nice...

I lived in upstate NY in the late seventies and experienced some nasty blizzards and snow storms. I live in GA now and I don't miss those snow storms one bit.
