Skinny jeans
« on: August 02, 2009, 12:07:50 am »
Who brought back the skinn jeans fad... but more importantly why are GUYS rocking the style :dontknow:?  I've even seen skateboarders wearing skinny jeans. How can they do tricks when they're leg movement is limited by the tightness of the jeans?

I don't wear them, but the super tight jeans sold by skateboarding companies are made from some denim/elastic/spandex hybrid that is really stretchy.  The guys who wear them must have tiny penises though.

I don't know who brought them back, but someone needs to make them go away.  Tight jeans are for girls, dudes.  C'mon.

Tight Jeans hurt my circulation in my legs, and I'd never wear them--it annoys me to see dudes wearing tight jeans, but I guess its one of those style trends that are coming back??

I agree that I don't like them on boys, but they're a lot better than the baggy pants they've been wearing.  I never understood why you would want your pants around your knees and your boxers showing  :dontknow:

I was wondering the same thing when I started to see alot of guys in these "EXTRA fitting jeans" on....lol. They should have left that style where it was...not like we were really missing it.It's a horrible fad

I personally like skinny jeans. They fit comfy and I don't feel restricted at all. I can skateboard and play DDR in my skinny jeans with no problems. I've seen guys wearing them, which is just weird... but otherwise I don't see a problem with skinny jeans.

Know what needs to go away? Mom jeans with the waists so high that they can hold up the female anatomy.  ;D

I've seen people of all sizes, shapes, and colors wearing skinny jeans. Once you get a pair in the right size, they're some of the most comfortable jeans in the world. There is one trend I have noticed... the people who complain the most about how "skinny jeans restrict" are those people who get them too small. A good skinny jean will form-fit without constricting.

Nowadays, a good quality denim skinny jean will have about 1-3% of spandex woven in to give it stretchiness. Cheaper varieties potentially have more. I've seen poly and lycra blends. One store I went in for some clothing ideas had a pair of skinny-style pants that were made of Gabardine of all things!

I love my skinny jeans! The thing that bothers me is not the skateboarders. But the EMO boys that wear them. I swear I went to the hospital last month and this boys pants were so damn tight you could make out the butt crack, through the jeans.
Cloudsoup I remember the JNCO's my dad bought me a pair, huge huge huge bell bottoms tight fitting around the waist. And when I ripped a hole in the knee of them he actually took one of hes old bandannas and sewed it on. I loved those pants.

I'm also not a big fan of skinny jeans. You really have to be skinny to pull off that look. I've seen a few shapely people pull it off but it tends to make you look like you have a "muffintop" if you have an ounce of fat in your midsection.
