It might be her husband is controlling and will not let her go without him,  I had one of those.  He would show up even at work as the other managers and i would be going out for a quick dinner.  We only had an hour and sometimes needed to talk business and could not with him there. If he showed up i would just excuse myself and we would go down and get a sandwich. It was very embassering. But he was so controlling. Needless to say the marriage did not last. He didn't even like it if i had to be on the phone. He would get as close as he could trying to hear what was being said. So who knows with her husband as to what is going on behind closed doors.
