That's good, look for opportunities at your zoo, at the schools, daycare's, there are so many opportunities to work with children.

Years ago my mom and I volunteered at a ministry clothes closet a few times a week. We would sort through all the donations and also help in the food pantry.

I have done a variety of volunteer work.
I always enjoy it and the group of people who are participating in volunteer events.

Yes, I volunteer at a food pantry where bags of food are given out every week.

I volunteered once to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless and I used to volunteer serving meals that was ongoing but I moved so I wasn't able to continue.  I'd like to get back into volunteering but my work schedule makes it a little difficult to be consistent.

I used to when I was younger, I'm definitely interesting in doing some more though.

My wife and I really enjoy working with kids. We put time in at elementary schools. We get to sit in the classrooms and observe and sometime interact with the kids. I really enjoy eating lunch with them.

I used to volunteer as a counselor on a crisis line from two am until six am on Monday mornings.  This would occur after a Sunday night restaurant shift from four pm until ten thirty pm and before my bank shift from eight thirty am till five pm.  The lack of sleep didn't really matter because the happiness and excitement of working with those in need kept me jazzed-and I did it for a little over two years. I was also on the board of a non-profit that gave much needed home repairs to disabled and poverty stricken.  We would also coordinate drives with corporations to help do at least one home repair per house in an impoverished neighborhood. Additionally we would build two to three houses per year and sell them to people in need at cost. Very rewarding to me knowing that we were helping people in need. Both of my kids volunteer at least twenty five hours per year and my wife volunteers at least eight hours of her time per year.

I have volunteered so many times I have to stop and think about the first time. I guess the first time I volunteered was to help raise money for our chuch. After that, it was to help the Salvation Army. I then volunteered many nursing skills helping individuals who needed assistance. I became a nurse so this went hand in hand. . I have found in my life, volunteering OFTEN helped me with my career and my resume. I have learned so much from volunteering. I think it has helped me know that I am "part of the solution not part of the problem" with all that is going on in our world today. Thanks for taking the time to ask. You just made me feel great again! :)

I'm a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and it's been a pleasure so far this year. I can't wait to do it again next year.

I volunteer at my kids school. But our county school system requires a training session and background check before volunteering. I think that is awesome especially in volunteering with our school system. I usually volunteer with the scholastic book fair and other things when needed.

No, and just don't see myself doing any at this point in my life.  I spend all my time working and doing other things to earn money.
