Bad table manners
« on: February 28, 2015, 04:34:29 pm »
If you were out on date with someone and they were doing things such asvchewing food with their mouth wide open. Talking loud on their cell phone during dinner or burping extremely loudly would you say something to them about it or try to ignore it

That is something that I cannot ignore. Bad manners is one thing, but bad table manners is just disgusting. I don't want to see what you're eating while it's in your mouth. I don't want to hear you chomping down on it. And I especially don't want to hear someone try to talk while they are eating loudly. If you burp like on purpose, it's rude and in bad manners. If it just happens that's different, and typically doesn't sound as bad. And if you're on a date, you shouldn't be fiddling with or talking on your phone. If that's what is going on during the date, I would not continue to be a part of it and would leave.

I would suffer through dinner and not say anything.  If the person seemed redeemable, I would say something before going out to eat again, however, if they are that bad you have to wonder if they were raised that way or just are rude by nature.  It is mainly disprespectful to my way of thinking.

I swear if I hear somebody chewing with their mouth wide open, it drives me insane! I can't stand people who do that.

I would say something, as that is disrespectful and if they did not like and wanted to end the meal; that would be fine with me!

I would stick it out for that one date.  After that...I'm gone.  There's no future with someone you can't stand to share a meal with.

I can't stand eating with your mouth open.  But if I was on a date and he was on his cell phone, unless it was an emergency, I would get up and leave.  You you are that rude to be talking on the ohone while on a date with me, I can be just as rude and get up and leave.

I was actually on a date with someone, sitting across the table from him, when he was chewing with his mouth open.  It was repulsive, but I tolerated his behavior because he was buying dinner.

Needless to say, I never went out with him again and that was only one reason why I decided.....

he wasn't my cup of tea.
Have a great day!

Definitely would say something if they were on their food.  I doubt i'd say anything about chewing with their mouth open, its definitely one of my pet peeves I just wouldn't go on a second date with them.

If you like that person enough to redate, I would say something about your likes and dislikes.
