FACEBOOK
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:11:54 am »
I just started using Facebook and friending people and all that. I am staring to think that it is a real waste of time. It is cool to keep in contact with some people but the rest...I don't know. What do you think? ::)

I have had a Facebook account for a good two years, but in truth I only log on a few times I year. It is useful for what I want it for. I want it for the benefit of seeing what my sister is up to in England. With the time difference (7 hours) it is somewhat tricky to speak to her on the phone, but Facebook enables me to log onto my account, see her photos, share thoughts and read messages at a time that is convenient for both her and I. Of course if it was urgent I would ring her.

I have been on facebook since 2008 and it has it's ups and downs. I log in every day due to the addicting factor and I like the fact that I can upload all my pics and it saves them for me. Other than that, I understand your frustrations. Many people vent (guilty as charged)...lol, some bash others and some exagerate their lives as if they are movie starts (PLEASE!! lol)  and that is why there is a delete friend button...haha, you can friend me if you want, just IM me and tell me your from FusionCash. :) kimber62372 ....have a good one! :)

Yes I log on everyday and keep in connect with all my family and I love it. Sometimes it is hard to contact them and Facebook allows me to speak to them at their convenience. I also play games like Criminal Case, GSN games of which I play Bingo, Jigsaw World which allows me to do Jigsaw puzzles, Heart of Vegas which allows me to play slots machines for free and House of Fun which lets me play slot machines for free. So I would be upset if it wasn't on anymore.

I have one also, at first it was to see what my kids were doing in College and elsewhere because young people tell all their business.  I also use it to talk with my brothers back home sometimes.

I have a fb account.  I just use it to connect with family that lives other places.  I deleted everything off my page a few months ago.  I rarely post anything.  ANYTHING you post can and will be used against you.  And like somebody else said it is mostly a drama site.  Or a site where people can attack others.

I love it.   Find it useful for a variety of things.   Keeping up with family and friends, I've made new friends.   Joining groups that do the same money making apps, etc. that I do, especially coupon stuff.   Oh and I'll admit it, I play games.   :)

I use it to keep in touch with friends & family mostly.  It can be a major waste of time though---I ignore the drama & those that like to over-share posts.  I usually don't spend more than 30 minutes a day on there, it just gets boring to me after that.

I use Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends.  I encourage others by posting Bible verses.  As with anything else, Facebook has both benefits and drawbacks.

I've had it for years and interest has completely fallen off! It can make for issues with sensitive people too...if you don't "like" their stuff they get offended!!!

It seems to have gone downhill in some ways...I was late to join amongst my friends (Feb 2008), and I thought it would be great, but now it seems to be more of a distraction than anything. It's useful for keeping in touch with friends and stay up to date on things, but people use it more for promotion purposes than actual connection/encouragement, unfortunately.
