Do you have carpel tunnel, if so what kind of brace do you wear. I need
a good comfortable brace that I can wear when typing.

I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel, but surprised my doctor when I said I don't feel any pain in my wrist... I have a wrist gel to ease the pressure from my wrist, but I don't feel it helping (when I don't feel any pain)... I do feel some pressure in my wrist when I do pushups, but nothing painful

You need a diagnosis from your doctor to make sure that is the problem.  If you have carpal tunnel, the doctor can refer you to an Occupational Therapist who has a specialty in hand therapy.  This therapist can make a customized brace fitted to your arm/wrist.  The therapist can also provide exercises and suggestions regarding the worsening of the condition.

Make sure you are taking enough breaks when you are engaged in repetitive motions involving your wrists/hands or keeping them in the same position during an activity, such as keyboarding.  You might want to get a wrist rest to use with your computer.  Be careful of activities where there is vibration also.

I don't have carpel tunnel, but I supplied a couple of people at my prior workplace with peripherals - including a joystick for their technology needs to do their job.

So this lady goes to a doctor and says my wrist hurts when I go like this( waves it around) the doctor says don't go like that after he asked if she had insurance lol :highfive: :silly: 8)

The same lady brought her kid in who swallowed some dollar bills, she asked his prognosis and he said no change yet :highfive:

I have never had a diagnosis, but have had wrist pain for years. I am sure that's what causes it, but I also discovered it's the MOUSE that is most of the problem, not the keyboard. Since I started running the mouse on an old loseleaf binder on my lap to remove the strain, I get by just fine.

I have 2 different braces I wear, one is called Smartglove, it comes in sizes and just covers your hand and wrist so it does not interrupt typing or game playing.  It has a thumb hole and a support that feels like sand right at the nerves on your wrist.  It looks like a brace that bowlers wear.  I have one for each hand and got them at the drug store.  The other is called Futuro it is when the pain is bad, a lot more support and less able to move hands as much.  Both have been really good for me.

I went to the doctor and after tests I was told to go to a medical suppky house to get a brace.  I went and paid about $75.00.  A few weeks later I was in CVS and saw the same brace for about $29.00!

You can get one at a drug store CVS Walgreens or a Medical supply store of even online...it's best to have the surgery before you do permanent nerve damage...I had my right hand done in 2000 and have been putting off the surgery for my left but gonna have to suck it up and decide on a date...probably in the fall ??  Good Luck :)

If you had it, you wouldn't need to ask. When your wrist (or forearm) cramps up and you have to stop what ever you are doing to let the pain subside, it becomes quite obvious.
