does caffiene keep you from sleeping

Sometimes yes, sometimes no....it just depends on what type of day it has been.

Sometime caffeine will make me swing from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism and then I have a problem with insomnia.  Other times I can have a cup of coffee in the morning and still go back to bed. 

I have Hashimoto's so my sleep is somewhat unpredictable.

It doesn't keep me from sleeping.  In the past, I've had a large mug of coffee (or a Monster drink) trying to "energize" and have still managed to take a long nap soon after.....

Sadly lately it just doesn't work for me anymore only been having about  fives hours of sleep for the past two weeks and tried my best to stay awake and finish my stuff but caffeine just does not do the trike anymore even if it was plain black.

I think it all depends on whether you are used to it or not .... I can drink a cup of hot tea before bed and sleep just fine but if I have a cup of coffee or a soda .. I'm not sleeping.

I don't drink coffee at night.  I always make a pot in the morning.  It helps me get going.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless everyone and keep you safe.

Not really... When I am really tired, I just sleep it off even with coffee.. One time I finished a cup of coffee at 5:30, found out that my 9 o'clock class was cancelled, then I went back to sleep

It doesn't have any effect on my sleep.  My dad can't have any too late, though.

If caffeine does impact me, I am probably not drinking enough to affect me. When it's late and I'm idle, I get tired. I usually have problems as I got too much on my mind.

I drink coffee all day every day!  It has never seemed to bother me!

I start to drink decaf after 4:00 pm. So I can sleep at night
