Packing for a vacation
« on: April 14, 2015, 04:33:37 pm »
When you pack for a short or long vacation, do you take everything, including
the kitchen sink, lol or pack light.

When I was younger, I packed to much, but I  think I have changed.I have
not traveled on a few years.💼👙👖🎽👜👟👞👔👕👢💄🌂

I have a tendency to over pack.  Never know what I'll need and I'd rather have and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Have a wonderful day!

I always say I am going to pack light but that never happens! lol ... going on a cruise in June and I intend to keep it light because there are 3 of us and I don't want to hassle with coming home with a ton of things either!

Nope, I pack exactly what we will need plus 1 extra for emergencys.  I learned a long time ago not to over pack. Now my sister seems to pack enough for 3 people and it is just her. Then she shops for more. she is a regular clothes horse. If we should have to pick up it is always 2 large suitcases and an over nighter for 2 weeks. I have never understood why.

I used to really overpack but as I've matured I've quit taking so much.  I'll still take a few extra changes of clothes for backup but not near what I used to take.  Our daughters (grown now)  have a real tendency to overpack.  One of them always packs like she's going to be gone for at least a month. lol

It can be more exhausting than the vacation. I try to stage mine out over a few days. And don't forget the check list. Since I am by myself now, it doesn't take so much planning or work to pack. BMaston12

I always pack way too much!  But, my poor husband is even worse!  He can't say anything about me!  He just happily lugs everything out!

It all depends on the trip! If there will be washing machines I might bring less- if it's business I would bring something different dor each day.
