All those of you who live in the New England area what is your feeling on Hernandez getting convicted.  Good football player who was just stupid  and ruined his life  convicted to life in prison

It is a real shame he had to go and mess up the perfectly fabulous life he had by murdering somebody. In the end, it didn't matter that he was a famous sports figure. He killed someone and has to pay for it.

What a shame and what a waste of luck, skills, and privilege.  I guess the luck has been flushed down the toilet due to plain stupidity, an attitude of possibly thinking he was above the law, and acting like a thug in his personal life at times.  Oh well, that's what you get when you take a life or are involved in it!

He didn't seem to be very ethical or spiritually sound regardless.  He couldn't be faithful to his "fiance" - I think justice was served - I never understood why he was involved in killing the guy to begin with although I finally read yesterday that is believed Hernandez thought Odin was capable of or might have betrayed some kind of trust.   :(

He has killed others in the past as well. He is also younger than me and was in jail in my town. So he was pretty close to me. I never did see him in person though only on TV. He did lose a great career too.

He was acting so arrogant thinking he was going to get away with it. IF he did do it then justice was served!!

He is going on trial for two other murders.   They said he had told Odin about them and Hernandez believed Odin was spreading the story.   That was never brought up during the trial but that's the story as to the reason.   I also believe he was an arrogant young man who believed he could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted.   Sad story all around.

Look where that got him, now he is on suicide watch. He should have thought twice, did he really not think it would catch up to him....so sad for both families !!
