My sister did.  Lived with my mother until she died. Allowed her to have a pretty good lifestyle, very few bills.

in my country/ Culture where i was brought up. Yup we do live with our parents and take care of them at old age. we dont have this many old age/ nursing homes. we take care of them in our home.

When we were small and young we are taken care of by mom and dad. they didnt find someone to take care of us. I know some parents who work will have nanny/sitter. but its because they have to make money for their living. their living included us as babies.  Many moms gave up even jobs to take of the tiny babies until they start school.

we take care everyone monther, father, in-laws, even our sister/brother and also Sis/Bro inlaws.

I have heard of three generations living in one house. There is no shame. As a matter of fact, it is an honor to do so. The grandparents see their grandchildren. They learn community and respect for elders.

My great aunt did but she was basically her primary caregiver. She never married or had children. My great grandmother lived past 100 years old.

That happened to my cousin, but she worked and helped provide for them and took care of them in their old age. She was truly a blessing to them.

My best friend lost her both parents at a very young age.  She was raised by her mother's sister.  As the aunt aged, my friend brought her into her home and the aunt helped with the kids until she was no longer able.  She stayed with my friend and her family until she passed away.

I know a lot of people who did that, and for a variety of reasons. I know a lot of the clients I had were in that position. Then when the parents died, they became homeless. Very sad.

Yes, my cousin stayed with her parents until they both died.  Father died than mother.

Two of our children lived at home until they were around 30.  It was good for us be cause of some special circumstances.  I think they would have left sooner but, husband was in an accident and is now disabled older daughter had 2 children under 2 and was in an accident so we had the babies for almost a year.  It was great having all the help during a tough time. They helped out by paying rent, taking turns doing dinner and other jobs around the house.
