Name is cute but I think "Diana" should have come before "Elizabeth. "Charlotte Elizabeth Diana" ... She's a day old and has more money than us! lol ....just sayin'! lol   ;D

I hadn't thought about it.  It's their baby so they can name her what they want but it will probably have to pass muster with the Queen.  I hadn't realized they had already named her.

I love it but agree, I wish Diana came before Elizabeth.    I admire these two.  I wish more young girls looked up to Kate rather than the Kardashin girls.    Amazing how great Kate looked leaving the hospital.   A true fairy tale story.   Hope they have a long happy life together raising their family.

I think it's a pretty name. At least Diana was included in her name. Kate and William are an inspiration. His mom would of been so proud.

It's a nice name. I read someplace they have to name the children "acceptable" names, not common or "trendy" names.  I read the name was from royal family members.  i know where Elizabeth and Diana came from, but I don't know where Charlotte came from.  Does anyone know?

I like the name, and I've had 2 children and I must say Princess Kate looked stunning after having a baby after 8hrs or so. I wish I could of looked like that after giving birth, I could walk and move around but not with such ease as she did lol.

Such a long name for such a little baby. I am sure Charlotte will now be a popular baby name.

I love the name.  I am glad that they named her after the Queen and Diana.  Princess Kate hardly looked like she had just had a baby.  Wish I looked that good.

I really like the name but as many of you have said, I would also have preferred that the name Diana come before Elizabeth. But then, Diana married into the royal family, Queen Elizabeth did not!

I agree with Kimber, I would have like her name to have been Diana in honor of his beloved mother, but each it's own.

I love the name.

Per USMagazine, the carefully selected moniker includes multiple ties to the happy couple's families. In addition to the Princess Di tribute, the name also includes Elizabeth, which is the name of the baby's paternal great-grandmother (a legacy British royal name), as well as the middle name the princess' maternal grandmother, Carole Middleton. The Duchess' sister Pippa has the middle name of Charlotte, which is also the name of the Duke's cousin, Lady Charlotte, and the feminine form of Charles, Prince of Wales.

When asked why these names were picked, a Kensington Palace aide told Us, "We’ll let the names speak for themselves."

They covered everyone so they did a good job.  They honored Grandpa Charles, Great Grandma Queen Elizabeth and deceased Grandma Diana.  It's really difficult to think of Diana as a Grandma actually.  It would have run together better with Diana in the middle but I don't think that would have been a good idea to put Diana ahead of Queen Elizabeth.
