that is a good question my mom gave me a lot of advice over the years but the one thing i really took to was she said to always believe in your self be honest don't ever doubt that your loved and to treat people the way you want to be treated and last is to loved the lord

My mother was very evil towards me growing up so I wish I could recount loving Claire Huxtable type talks with her but that's not my reality.  She did, however, teach me through her actions what isn't acceptable in relationships and what type of things to/not to do if I want to be a certain type of mother.  We're civil now, and I'm grateful she had me.

I can't think of any one piece of advice, because she has given me so many. We didn't always get along (and still don't sometimes) but I love her with all my heart and know she did the best she could for me.

That's really sweet.  We parents don't always do/say the correct things, but at the end of it all if our kids knew we did the best we could that's a blessing.

Honestly I can't think of anything she ever said.  There was one piece of advice (I can't say it here), that was cruel and I got older realized how mean it was.  I do hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!

The best advise my mother ever gave me when I was very young and shy was not to worry if you lack confidence. She would say As you get older you will become more confident. She sure was right. Now that I am a mom of two boys, I have all the confidence I could need, and more. If I see something which doesn't seem right, I say something - I don't care if I embarrass anyone (including me) and whilst I don't intend to annoy anyone, if it has to be said, it has to be said! I wish I had known what I would become when I was young and intimidated by everybody because then I wouldn't have worried.

My mother always told me to focus on good things in life and to not give up even though you fail for a 1000 times. Have courage and keep chacing your dream rather then chsce after boys, because the rest will automatically follow....that's my mothers advice for me and I'll give the same advice for my daughter...

My mother's best advice was always to be very careful about birth control because it is way too easy to get pregnant when you don't want to.
