Netflix or Prime?
« on: May 23, 2015, 03:29:46 pm »
I bought a new smart TV which has apps and I am thinking of ways to cut back on my cable TV. I have taken the 30 day trial for Prime which I liked a lot but now I am checking out Netflix. My head is spinning with all the choices.   Which do you prefer: Prime or Netflic?  Does anyone have any Netflix tips?

 :)

I have no cable.  What i use is Netflix and my sister has an account with Hulu Plus. I like Netflix because I'm able to catch up on past shows and Hulu because i can watch shows currently on tv

Not loving prime!  I can't recommend it. I ordered ink 5 days ago (2 day shipping?)... not to mention you pay 3 times what hte product costs anywhere else to cover that supposed free 2 day shipping.

You can't download the free music. You can download an app that allows you access to prime music. So there is no burning it to CDs or anything like that.

There isn't a ton of great stuff available to watch. '

That is my opinion.

I also have a ROKU to stream free stuff and I do recommend it. You can find all kinds of off the wall and old stuff to watch.

Netflix is better. There is definitely more entertainment and it's affordable.

I had Amazon Prime in the past, but only in the capacity to get better shippping and not when they rolled out the other entertainment perks. As to Netflix, I have been a member for years and love it. It's a great source for streaming and I still take advantage of the mailed movies feature. I do see quite a bit of movies and television shows (some of their TV line up dedicated to them is good) and I get my money out of them.

I like Netflix way better and plus you can use chromecast to see it on your tv with a tablet. Prime will not allow that so you will need to connect your tv to pc if this is what you choose or just watch it on your pc.  :)

I have had both in the past but Netflix is the better option IMO.  Better programming and better interface.  Netflix really impressed me with their own series like daredevil.  I expect them to keep improving. Go Netflix

Well, I finished my 30 day trial to Prime and really enjoyed Prime. I have now begun my 30 day trial to Netflix and I am finding all the offerings mind boggling. I have begun House of Cards which I am loving.   :)
