how did you spend your holiday

we went to  the cemetery put flowers on pops grave came home went swimming in the pool then cooked out had friends over now just relaxing on the porch talking with friends hope every one had a great Memorial Day

I spent it working. I wish I could've spent it honoring my grandfather who lost his life serving, but I had to work.

Memorial Day was spend at work.

Work long hour a day, many vacationers in town to enjoy the beach.

I worked all weekend but was actually off on the official Monday holiday ... Me, the hubby and the dog spent time with my mom and my favorite aunt .. BBQ and great conversation

Worked in the yard and spent time with my parents and family.

Went to my moms house to go eat an went enjoy ourself outside

It was my brother's birthday, so i took him out to eat, then went shopping. Most of the rest of the day I spent quietly at home, doing crafts.

We went to the oldest Memorial Parade in the country (in my hometown of Alton IL) that's about it, it was actually a decent day with the sun shinning so we weren't complaining.

We pretty much spent our weekend fixing cars, driving furniture across town in the rain( because the person would not listen that it was going to rain soon) and also spent the rest of the day watching the storms however we did pop in the movie box trolls. I am still not sure what to think of that movie as of right now....

I got up at 4am and went to the Indy 500 on Sunday, on Monday I mostly just recuperated from the long, long Sunday since I was only able to get 3 1/2 hours sleep Sat. night.  I had a very sick dog and had to make a vet visit on Sat. night which made me very late getting to bed.  My son was able to take care of her while I was gone.

I bbqed steak, hotdog, bratwurst, porkchops and chicken. I cooked spaghetti and potato salad

We didn't do much for the holiday. Would have liked to cook out. Hopefully next year we will.

Hubby and I were housesitting, so we just relaxed for the day.
