If I had to pay someone to be friends with me, I would do without. Because I would always wonder if they were really a friend or if they were just using me.

No I would not pay someone to be friends with me.  If a person does not want to be friends with me then I do not need them in my life.  And Vicky, if you are paying them to be your friend then obviously that is the only reason they are your friend so then yes they are just using you.

There are, however, people that I would gladly pay to get away from me permanently.   ::)
