Fortunately I have AC in my apt and it works well I usually keep fan running when I turn it off/at night though to keep the air circulating

i use both. I don't turn the AC on until hubby can get help putting it in the window, which normally happens around July.

It's really hot and humid here already this year but I'm keeping the doors closed, and blinds drawn and using just fans. I have a ceiling fan that I use and a table fan directed at hubby's chair.

I don't like humidity, but I can take the heat most of the time. Hubby can't. If it's below 75, sometimes I'm cold, sometimes I'm dying from the heat (all due to my poor circulation from my surgeries).

Here is the south, we live with ac year around.  I set it a little high and use ceiling fans as well.

Big ac person  here in the south.   I use to be able to manage with a fan or two but since menopause hit........it's ac all the way, all the time!

I use both.  I turn on the fan to circulate the air while the ac is on to cool down the place faster.

Well, it's pretty much always over 90 here in the summer.  Way over!!!  But the ac isn't working so I have fans going.

   If you do not have AC, some stores like Costco, Sam's Club and other sell small portable AC units.

Which do you use to keep you cool in the summer. I alternate  in the high 70s mid 80s I use my fan. If it is close to 90 or higher I turn on the ac

In Texas we use both. The fan cuts down on the AC usage. It also gives direct air movement. When it is 110 outside you have to have both. Sometimes we even use ice behind the fan to blow cool air. You have to be innovative to save on the high cost of electricity. BMaston12
