Yes I crave certain foods like chocolate, fruits, salads, and cheesy cracker snacks. When I do have a craving it is for something sweet.

I agree you should drink water first and then if you give into a craving try not to over indulge it.

I have read somewhere online that food cravings are linked to our personalities and mood. But again it can't be only answer. For me I crave sweets most of the time and I have a sweet calm and patient personality:) hmm is there a link there?

I sometimes smell the food before I have a craving for it,like a big steak.

I crave sugar more than anything. The thing is that when you give in to a craving, you make it that much easier to give in to it the next time. :o 

So, you have to start resisting. The more you resist, the easier it will be to resist that temptation.

I need to heed this message because I always crave sugar and end up giving in to temptation. :/

I do, too! But that might be a result of me watching late night Food Network shows. Lol!

Chips are my weakness. :( I've been doing good about not giving in, though. Losing a lot of weight is enough motivation. But it still sucks.

I STRONGLY believe that food cravings are telling us something.  If I need energy, I might crave caffeine.  If my body needs lycopene, I might crave tomatoes or watermelon.  When I was on a raw and natural food diet I could walk through the produce section and know what my body wanted because certain items (like bell peppers) smelled really good, to me.

Also, If you eat something you're body is hungry for....it will taste good and leave you feeling satisfied.  I think it's important to pay attention to what you crave.

I think a "food craving" is just something that happens every now and then when you haven't eaten a certain food for a long time or when you talk about a certain food that you haven't had in a long time.

They say it means your body need minerals but i crave watermelon and some times ice cream.
