Get Paid to write articles

Anyone ever thought of getting paid to write articles?

I'm honestly thinking about it, but I'm not too sure about it. I'm not sure what to write since you can't just write an article. It has to be what people are looking for but is not competitive. HMMM.....

There are a few sites that pay you .I can't think of one i've gone to a couple times.You can write about anything and when people look at it or comment you get paid some cents. I wish i could think of it right now maybe someone else knows the name.About.com is another one like to look at things there .

You have to apply.  Submit a sample writing or two.  And then be accepted.  It's not as easy as saying oh I want to write articles and get paid for doing so.  And then from what I remember when I was trying to do that a while back the pay was not all that great.  Didn't matter because apparently I was not good enough. lol

I will admit, I personally considered embarking on this path. I would like to think that I make a pretty decent writer. However, many of the websites that I discovered required a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English. :-( So I abandoned that idea altogether.

I've seen sites that paid for reviews, but based on the amount of effort to write articles up to their standards, I'm not sure it would be worth it. Years ago I did do reviews for Amazon credit, but it didn't have to be too busy or detailed.

I have never heard of this. I have heard about a site where you get paid for writing comments about t.v shows and movies. I do like writing though so I will look into this and see what it's about.

I've joined iwriter.com, but I haven't written an article yet - I think I need to build up the energy. I don't know if it'll pay off, but I'm going to try!

I am not sure about this one. I have tried getting into writing blogs and articles to get paid but some programs have striked rules about knowing how to write. Not just writing whatever is on your mind but you have to know how to write like a professional and I don't have those skills. I prefer writing freely like here:)

That does sound interesting, I'll have to look into it. But then again I don't know if I'd be any good at it. My only blogging experience is tumblr.

You're kidding -- right?  I get so irritated with most of the online articles that are full of misspelled words, misused words, and poor grammar.  There is no way these people can have a BA in English.

Honestly, I feel like I write much better than the so called professionals.  I can find all kinds of mistakes in their writings.  Besides that I don't know about websites or articles there but articles in a newspaper have to be written on a 4th grade level so that people who do not read very well can read and understand it.  I also think that is foolishness.  People with that low of a reading comprehension are not going to be reading the newspapers anyway.
