Do you arrive to work early or late on a weekly basis?

When I was working, I would always arrive early. I thought that was a plus on my part to be ready to work as soon as the time to work rolled around.  :angel11:

However, it did seem to me that it didn't seem to matter much if people were late to work as long as they had an excuse. Never seemed right to me.  :confused1:

Same for me! i think people who live close think they can make it in an unrealistic amount of time, while those who have to commute play it safe and end  up over-estimating!

I arrive on time on a daily basis.

We actually have  7 minute window in which we are to punch in at.  We aren't too punch in earlier than 7 minutes prior to the top of the hour.....company has to pay us for a quarter hour if we do; so we are not to punch in early.

We have that same 7 minute window to punch out of past the top of the hour.  If we punch out past that, company has to pay for a quarter hour of work time.  They do NOT want to do that on a consistent basis.

I am always early.  It doesn't seem to matter tho because the ones who are late never get punished.  But if I were to start coming in late I guarantee it would make a difference.

I don't have a set work time as long as I get my work done and am there 35+ hours a week. However when it comes to other appointments, I try to get there 5-10 minutes early.

I was always early. It's so rude to be late.

Most people don't care.  And in jobs like fast food or retail if one person is late or doesn't show then somebody else is forced to stay over to cover for them.

I'm a stay at home mom now. But when I did work I was always there 45 minutes early getting things ready before I would even clock in. Even for my appointments now I arrive 15-20 minutes early.
