Bill Cosby - New development
« on: July 07, 2015, 10:04:14 am »
I got a breaking news alert where the statements he made several years ago, the ones he was fighting to keep a secret, were finally made to be released.  He admitted he traded sex for drugs.  Still not sure he raped any one.  I think it's like he said...he traded drugs (that they wanted) for sex.  At any rate, I am going to trash the dvds I have of the Cosby Show.  Actually I was wondering if I took them back to Walmart if I can get my money back???  They sold the trash.  Let them deal with it.

I saw that on the news today.  He admitted getting the drugs but did not admit to any rapes.  I wonder how long before he finally admittes what he did.

Idk Nancy.  The more I think about it since it was a sedative I don't think that is usually something that is abused.  His saying it that way makes it sound like the women wanted to have sex in exchange for the drugs.  I have previously said I didn't believe it because why would so many women not say anything.  But if they all thought they were the only one and nobody told anyone (which I find hard to believe)  then maybe after one admitted it then the others did too.

Wonder if Walmart would give me my money back on these DVDs?  Everyone should mail them to his house.

As for admitting anything - If he did drug the women and rape them he is not going to admit it.  Although it wouldn't matter because the statute of limitations is up so I don't think he can go to jail now.  And I doubt they could get money now.  It would just be letting the people know the truth.  And when you are in the public eye and the public made you rich then people have a right to know the truth.

Have to agree with you countrygirl.  I highly doubt any of the women can get any money out of him anymore.  But...his 'status' as a star has to be hurting.

I have said since the beginning of this on-going saga that he is guilty of drugging and raping the women that are coming forward.  Too much consistency in their recollection of the incidents.
Have a wonderful day!

As far as I am concerned, whether the women wanted the drugs or not is irrelevant. He DRUGGED them in order to have sex, which means that they were unable to provide consent...which in my opinion constitutes rape.

And while we are returning Cosby Show DVDs, we should pitch cases of Jell-O at him.  >:(

I am so sick and tired of hearing about this. This is another reason I don't watch tv unless I am forced to, say at a truck stop or something. >:(

Concerning the dads and walmart, you can't return them if the outer wrapping is missing. Not allowed to accept them back due to federal copyright laws and pirating.

Nancy- I am sure it is.  I am throwing away the dvds of the Cosby Show.  I don't want them.  And BET has dropped reruns of the show as well as Bounce.

Gaylasue- I remember that from our previous discussions.  :)

VG7405- I had forgotten about the Jello.  I understand what you are saying.  I was meaning if they knowingly traded drugs for sex.  I will have sex with you if you give me drugs.  A lot of women do that.  I also take into consideration they were a Playboy.  They were posing nude and I am sure having sex to get ahead.  It's how it works.  They used him to get ahead.  I have no use for him knowing he done what he did.  But I don't have any use for the women either because I think they had sex to get ahead and then are crying rape later.  Without having ALL the details, which we will never have, it's really hard to say for sure.  I know the one he paid her money every month for a long time.  That's not called rape.  It's called prostitution.

Mardukblood2009- I don't usually watch the news.  I got a breaking news alert and read it.

Hitch0403- I somehow doubt he is being bothered mentally.  And yes, he has to stand before God.  But the difference is God will forgive him if he asks.  And it is forgotten.  People can't seem to do that.

JMC1070- I kind of figured they wouldn't want to take them back but sometimes they will in certain cases. And I have bought DVDs that I opened and wouldn't play and I took it back and exchanged it for another one and it was no problem.  It will most likely just go in the trash.  I haven't taken the time to hunt it out yet.  I think I only have one set.  As for pirating - I don't know how to do that.  The dvds have a copy protection on them.  I have no idea how to remove or get around those.  Don't really care to learn. lol

I read that Walt Disney World removed his statue already from their Hollywood Studios
He's condemned already by public opinion, whether it turns out he is guilty or not.   The entire situation is so creepy... the man is worth 400 million & yet he still felt he needed to drug & rape women (allegedly), so crazy.

He admitted with his own mouth and they have it on tape that he traded sex for drugs.  Whether it was rape or consensual is yet to be determined.  But even if it was he was married and was giving young girls drugs in exchange for sex.  So even if it was not rape he done something really bad and it destroys the nice family man, protector of all, image people had.  But I have heard that some of his comedy routines were pretty raunchy.  Idk.  I never heard any of them.
