I just got back from Mexico they take US money

How can they take US money?  Just curious?  We don't take their money.  Cashiers would have to have a supply of both Mexican and US currency.  And they, Mexico, does not cater to us like we do to them.

Don't forget your passports, it is not easy getting back into the states with out them and do not carry a gun. We used to go to Mexico all the time and then it got so bad on the border we quit going.  At times on the border bullets do fly.  Maybe down closer to the middle of Mexico it is better but not along the border.

No, remember the guy who accidentally crossed the boarder and had a gun?  Did they ever turn him loose?  Or did we finally forget about him?  I work with a girl whose grandmother was born in Mexico.  Her mother and herself were born in the US.  They visited Mexico.  She said she won't go back.  It is too dangerous.  And if you are legal it is difficult to cross the boarder back into the US. It is just easy for the illegals.

Why don't you ask that family member who lives there.  Personally you couldn't pay me enough money to go to that country.  You are putting yourself at high risk there, good luck, be safe 8) :peace:

I've been to Mexico for vacations, and they accept US dollars because it has more value than their pesos.
I've always gotten pesos as change back though. I'm not sure about their supply of money.

Sounds fun!  Be safe!  I have been plenty of places but not to Mexico yet, so I can't offer much advice!  Have a good trip!

I don't have any advice for you except I think Mexico is a scary place to go so I would be extremely careful there but if you have family there to advise you I guess that you would be alright.  Good luck and have a safe and fun trip.
