Bogus Survey!
« on: July 11, 2015, 06:29:31 pm »
I just spent a half hour completing a survey, only for them to tell me the quota was already filled! Why make me take the whole survey,if they didn't intend to pay me!  >:(

This doesn't happen to me often, but it burns me up that they can take all my info and not give me a dime!

I really enjoyed the survey too,as it was an early commercial for an upcoming movie. I won't say which movie, since I had to agree to some confidentiality thing. Would serve them right if I didn't keep my mouth shut about it!  :P

Well, if you get a movie survey-be warned. It might be the same one with the "quota already filled" at the end.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Same thing happened to me taking a 20-25 minute survey. "thank you for taking the survey, please click next to get your code." I click next and NO CODE! lol ... oh well. ::)

That does take the wind out of your sails for sure.  I've actually been giving this very issue a little thought over the last few days.  I enjoy taking surveys and I know that they are a very good way to earn a little extra cash.

When you spend all of that time just to be DQ'd, however, it can ruffle the feathers.  So this is what I came up with to put my mind at ease when this kind of thing happens; remember, this is just my thought and not necessarily fact:

Survey companies have quotas to fill.  After all of the survey panelists have successfully completed a survey, the survey closes.  Most companies will mention this to you in one way or another.

As we attempt to complete the survey, we have no idea how many more responses are needed before the quota is filled.  If a survey needs only 3 more respondents and it happens that 3 panelists submit their answers while we are working on the questions or after we are 20 minutes into it, then guess what could happen?

We get a message on our screen that the quota is filled.  It may be that it's only about timing.  I know that it is a kick in the head.  No, really, I do know because it has happened to me as well.

Again, this is just my theory.  If anything it helps to keep my faith in the survey taking experience.  As a whole, it really is good.  At least I think so.

Eventually, something like this happens to everyone. It was not a bogus survey.  It probably closed before you got to the end or you were over quota by the end. That is the problem with surveys. they are a hit or a miss. You never know when you begin one how it will end. Sometimes, there is a glitch at the end and you also do not get paid.

I hesitate attempting a 30 minute survey because of glitches and other problems at the end.  I try to stick with shorter surveys just in case I do not get my credit.  Time is money.

The problem that you had is very infrequent and your next survey will probably credit you.

I answered your post earlier today. Well, I can not believe what just happened to me about 15 minutes ago.

About a half hour ago, I was sent an email inviting me to a survey taking about 30 minutes. I am on many sites and it was not FC sending me the email.

I began the survey and was on it for about 6 0r 7 minutes when I came to the demos. It was about beverages. I remember thinking that I had been told it was a 30 minute survey but maybe that was not correct. I answered the demos and got a submit.  I did so and waited for a congratulations but instead got a message telling me that I did not qualify for the survey but there were more available.  I did not even get a penny credit.   :(

Yes, this has happened to me also.  Just when I thought I was about to finish up a survey that I had been working on for over 1/2 hour I get a DQ.  So frustrating...especially when you have not had many surveys. :sad1:

I don't blame you for being so PO'ed.  These survey companies are paying far less than what they used to, and their surveys are dumping people after they get very near the end of the survey or completed.  Our time matters, too, but they don't seem to care.

This has happened to me on occasion as well. But I'm going with betlynjua's explanation, just so I don't throw a temper tantrum.

FC could offer us a way to let them know so they could credit us when surveys after 25 minutes say quota is filled.

It happened today and its more then just eventually. I was actually enjoying the survey and it was private medical information. then after 20 minutes I was ejected. I think they wanted me to be getting an IV treatment of a drug instead of taking a pill cause that is when I was told they had the quota filled. On the question that said have you ever received the IV version of your medicine. you know we don't lie and still get canned on this site.

Yup, happened to me again! I hate that the quotas can be filled while you're in the middle of taking a survey. Doesn't seem right, if you're taking your time to complete the survey and can't get your reward because someone completed it and filled the qutoa a few moments before you.
