What's your favorite 80's movie? Mine's "16 Candles".

I think I'm getting old, I can't remember what movies came out in the 80's.  I'm guessing the Star Wars movies.

Back To The Future is my favorite 80's movie! This year marks the 30th year anniversary of the movie!

My favorite 1980's movie is "The Shinning" it was scary good.

There are WAY too many 80's movies to pick just a single favorite!  Just about every one mentioned so far is a classic.  The ironic thing about the question = you have movies filmed in the 80's that all have similar characters/attitudes/storylines that revolve around 80's society and pop-culture such that there is a distinct 1980's "feel" to the movie.  Yet one of my most favorite movies (Diner filmed in 1982) was about a group of young guys living in 1959.  Great cast of actors early in their careers who went on to huge acting careers: Steve Guttenberg, Mickey Rourke, Tim Daily, Kevin Bacon, Daniel Stern, Paul Resier.

Too many to choose but I always just sucked in watching Back to the Future and Karate Kid.

I agree that the 80s had way too many good movies to pick just one. Empire Strikes Back, Goonies, Ghostbusters, Breakfast Club, War Games, Gremlins, Ferris Bueller, ET, Top Gun, Indiana Jones (1, 2, and 3), Princess Bride, Airplane, Caddyshack, Spaceballs... Probably a whole host of others too!

There were so many good movies that came out in the 80's that is hard to pick a favorite.  I liked the Back to the Future movies.
