My main nickname is Mel. I had all kinds of other nicknames when I was younger.

I have gone by my nick name ever since I was born. Because  I had my great grand mother, grandmother and mother all named the same and a couple of other girl cousins.  But some people still nick name  with other names, like miss priss. I am not prissy they just think it is smart.   But they love me so it is alright.

yes my brother nicknamed me bulldog when we were small..i was the oldest of 5,so it was my job to protect them..we didnt have an easy life growing upbut i made sure my 2 brothers and 2 sisters were safe...so he says my name was bulldog because i would fight anyone who messed with them....i am 53 and he still calls me that...lol

When I was little and my sister was just learning to talk, she called me "Deeta".
We couldn't figure out if she was trying to say my name (Krysta) or sister...but either way, my mom's side of the family calls me Deeta or just Dee.

It's impossible to make a nickname out of my name, I thought. Then one of the guys on my volleyball team started calling me Linder. That was the start of my user name, linderlizzie, since my middle name is Elizabeth. 

I have been called Linda Lou lots of times but I don't accept that since that's not my dern middle name!
