It is starting to get concerning....

Starting????LOL!!

Time and unforseen occurrence befalls everyone. You dont have to be in just a movie theatre.Wrong place wrong time can be anywheres as long as wickedness exists in this world. And it is going to get worse before it gets better!

It's not going to get better until God sets up His Kingdom on Earth.  The world as it is now won't get any better.

what we need a gun law better checking on people better enough of this madness

Gun laws have nothing to do with it.  The criminals are not known for obeying the laws anyway.  And people know when they do something like this they will receive a slap on the wrist at the most and that's it.  If they were immediately taken out side and killed like in the old west this wouldn't keep happening.

Security should be a must now days almost every where you go. I do not let the shootings scare me into not going out because you cant live your life being afraid like that.

lol  The ones where someone went in and shot up the place were not in "unsafe" areas.  The other random mass shootings were not in "unsafe" areas.  Wasn't there even a police station that some physco went into and shot a bunch of people?  Surely a police station full of cops with guns should be safe.

Fact is we live in an evil world full oh physcos on drugs and no place is any more safe than any other.  Look at the churches that have been shot up.  Surely you should be safe in a church.  No one would ever dream of someone killing them at church.  But yet it happens.  In good neighborhoods.  In safe neighborhoods.

The problem I have, is where do you stop? You could really put security everywhere to keep the "crazies" out. Unfortunately they are out there everywhere and never know when or WHERE they will strike next!

I'm not really nervous but I have to admit it can be really scary.

There is no way to keep the crazy people out.  Unless you strip search and do a body cavity search on every person that enters every building you cannot be sure they do not have something that they can use to hurt someone with.  And the thing is most people want others searched but don't want to be searched themselves.

I went to a ball game right after the 9-11 attacks and there cops at the entrance and they actually searched every person that entered the building.  If you had a purse or bag of any sort he also physically searched that.  Yeah it took a long time to get in and I am sure there were a lot of people mad but at least there were no guns or bombs in the building.  But in all seriousness you cannot do that everywhere there are a lot of people.  And it could happen in Walmart just as easily.

I am concern about being in crowds anywhere, with so much happening these days while it has not stopped me, I just try and be more alert, I would not be surprise if metal detectors are not in movie theatres soon, I would not have a problem with that at all.

They had ushers walking around in the theater once or twice during the movie when I was there last week. I agree, it's pretty distracting. It's not like an usher can do all that much either. From what I know, he wasn't armed,so I don't know what he could do if there was anything suspicious.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

First military recruiting stations. Now movie theaters. Where does the insanity end? Soon malls and grocery stores will be on the hit list (I actually hope not!) In any event, since the Aurora, Colorado incident, I have been exceedingly wary about visiting movie theaters. With this recent event, I essentially steer clear of theaters altogether. And it is sad. :-(

I haven't gone to a movie theater in years.  I don't like that they are unsanitary and ewww.  I hate the fact that as I walk or sit, my foot is sticking to the floor.  I just don't trust them.

There was a mass shooting at a couple of malls already.  People are just flat out crazy.  And no it is not "mental illness".  It is not an illness.  It is not a disease.  People are just evil.    This is what you get when you raise a generation of people who are never told no, never punished for wrong doing as a child, and let run wild and to do whatever you wanted and handed everything you ever wanted.

It's a shame that we in this country have to worry about such things!  I personally don't go to movie theaters but still, I remember as a child going to a movie theater on a Sat. morning to watch all the cartoons and we never had to worry about security!  What this world is coming to is just not good! :(
