PBS/British TV
« on: July 25, 2015, 06:58:01 pm »
I love british television shows that air on PBS. Seems like most of the good ones come on late Sunday night though. I have a hard time keeping up with the various shows as well. Sherlock for example, has no new episodes for at least a year. Not sure when Downton comes back on either. Right now I watch Poldark and Last Tango in Halifax.

Anyone else into PBS shows?

I love the programs on PBS, comedies and dramas.  I like Doc Martin, they don't have new episodes every year, then out of no where they will have 4 or 5 new programs.  They don't seem to be so much on the seasons for the shows as we are here.

I used to watch the comedies, and some of the dramas.
I watch online now, since I don't have a television.

There are some really good shows on PBS. I like to watch The Crimson Field, Sherlock, and Poldark.

I rarely ever watch PBS.They save their best programming for their fundraising drives and that's when I watch it.When it comes to public broadcasting I like public radio better than public TV.

Yes.  I love Last of the Summer Wine and Faulty Towers especially.  I loved Larkrise to Candleford.  I used to call it my victorian soap opera.

I don't watch PBS, but did like BBC. However, when we switched from Optimum to Verizon, BBC is not part of the package we get - would have to upgrade to the next one for $15 more a month. Not happy about that!

Yes love Last Tango in Halifax and just started watching Poldark. I found some BBC shows on Netflix so watch those also. I love the scenery on some shows so pretty.

I haven't watched PBS in a really long time so I'm not sure if I'd like it now or not as I'm not even sure what they have on their programming.

I miss when PBS played Miranda and Absolutely Fabulous. British TV is the best, but I don't care for Downton Abbey.
