A visit to the Statue Of Liberty
« on: July 27, 2015, 05:29:13 pm »
Last weekend My family went to visit Ellis Island And the Statue Of Liberty. Both places were renovated. The place looked very appealing. A few quite changes were made in term of security. Now in order for someone to go inside the pedestal or inside the crown, you have to purchase your ticket online. My family did not stand a chance to go inside of the statue because when we checked online the tickets to go inside the statue were sold out; I believe until next year.

What a shame, it's a symbol of freedom and prosperity, it should be open to all.

I agree it should be open to all rather than it being used as a income. Nevertheless thanks for the update I may have to schedule a trip there soon.

Thanks for the information, I didn't know that.  It's sad I live about 1 1/2 hours away and have never seen it.  One day I have to get up to New York to see it.

I've always wanted to visit the statue of liberty myself but I have yet to visit New York but it's definitely on my list of travel destinations.

Wow!  You haven't seen the Statue of Liberty until you walk up inside and look out through her crown!  It's AWESOME, and the memories I have of this is from when I was an Elementary School student and went on a class trip to see her!  I'm a Native New Yorker and seeing the Statue of Liberty is definitely one of my best and favorite memories.  I hope you had a good time while visiting, but you really missed a goodie.
