How many people on here took advantage of of the free update from Microsoft? Why or why not?

I took advantage of it.. because one.. it's free..
Two.. I had the preview and likes the look and feel of it..
I like upgrading for free.. (:

From what I've seen of it, I don't want to upgrade my Windows 7 laptop. But I did just get a Win 8 laptop, so I'm planning to go to the library tomorrow and upgrade that one, because Windows 8 is so awful that Win 10 should be an improvement. One thing that would have made me like Win 10 better would be if they had compatibility mode for Windows XP, which Win 7 does. I still have XP programs that I use, that are no longer available, but don't have any good equivalents.

I'm still waiting for the update.  A lot of people must be taking advantage of the windows update that's why I haven't received my update yet.

I've had a little icon on my laptop reminding me of it but I had been leery of installing it.
Have a wonderful day!

I went ahead and reserved my copy and everything's good to update right now. I wanted to get FC done first and check google to see if there's anything wrong with it before I update. At least the update's good for a year.

I did and I can't wait!  I'm actually very excited for Windows 10, and yes, it was free and will be for the next year.  I use Win 8.1 now and love it.  I'm just waiting for that little pop-up that tells me "it's time!"  YAY!!!

I did my upgrade today and I love it. Win 10 is a great improvement from win 8.1. I like Cortana and the new Edge browser. I enjoy this version so far. Cortana is my new best friend. LOL

I did my upgrade tonight just before logging in here.I haven't had time to do much with it,but so far it seems to be much faster than Windows 7.
