We adopted our "Gidgit" last october.  She is a "shorkie"  her mother is a yorkie and father is a shih tsu.  I can not imagine our home without her.

Most of my animals have always been given to me.. Mainly the big reason why i have no adopted... But we did eventually adopt a female companion for my small male dog out of fear that he would suffer from depression after loosing a family dog that he knew his entire life.. It effected him pretty hard..... I wasn't really ready for a new dog..  but i ended up going ahead and adopting her..Even though i mainly did adopt for my pup i fell in love with her from the minute i saw her...
The main reason it is so hard for me to adopt animals is.. you have to go through alot of animal's with sad faces.. It eats me up inside seeing  older dogs in cages... Which i notice people rarely seem to get the older dogs... IT is EXTREMELY HARD to choose just one dog..

Pets are great!!! I have two cats, love them like they're my kids and can't imagine my life without them. So many dogs and cats need loving homes! If you're a kind and responsible person you should adopt from an animal shelter or humane society (the local pet smart where I live has a partnership with the humane society) I don't trust pet stores, they don't care for animals properly. Treat your furry friend with love and you'll share a bond that will last forever!

Adoption is the best! Everyone should adopt and not buy from breeders/pet shops. I've adopted animals my entire life and it's a great feeling.

Now that I am retired I am playing with the idea of getting a pet.  I still haven't decided if it is right for me so I am waiting.  IF I do get a pet, I intend to get a rescue.  As far as I'm concerned, it's the ONLY way to go!

In the future I will adopt a pet. Can't adopt one right now since my place doesn't allow pets
