When does school in your city start?

I'm pretty sure that school here (Missouri) started on August 20th. Not really sure, my son is home schooled  so for us there is not start or stop period. We do have "mini-vacations" of time off, but my son is special needs, so my job never ends. I like home school and plus, I live in a neighborhood that is quiet with mostly older people so my son can play in the backyard or we walk around the neighborhood in peace!

Around here the kids begin school after labor day. Now that our son has grown and is out of the house,we have found that an excellent week to take a vacations at the beach. No crowds.

School is back in session. kids started back here August 17

Where I live, school started back on the August 10th. As for college, classes started this past week on August 24th.

Started August here in Florida.

I'm not sure when school started her in southwest Ohio but they are going to school now.  I think it has only been about a week though.

All of the semester schools have started here, but the quarter system folks have a little longer to go
