I wish I had health insurance. :( Looks like I'm gonna get it in a few weeks, though. I need to see a therapist and another doctor. Fun stuff.

It is tuff these days to go to the doctor due to high insurance. My insurance is
deductible based for doctors visits and perscriptions, so I do not get
any script or go to the doctors office until i have some
Estimate of what it may cost.

I miss the days where i did not have to worry about that. I hope we change
Our employer insurance again soon.

its  so expensive    to get insured

You are not alone!!  I think most people today are "suffering" from the same disease -- empty pockets!!

I am happy to say I now have insurance. It's been 2 years. My husband finally was able to get it due to a change in his position. I'll be glad to be able to see the doctor when I need to.

I definitely need to get health insurance. :angry7: Or I will have to pay taxes for that. :angry7: :BangHead: I keep waiting for my job to get health insurance. So I can have it finally. Unfortunately no such luck no health insurance. :BangHead: Your health insurance seems pricey. But it is better to have one I suppose. I'm working on getting my health insurance. :angel11: :)

After all that I have found when working for a health insurance company it is more of a scam than anything. The doctors charge you more then without and the funny thing is they, doctors, are the ones that actually started this scam to be sure to get some of the monies due that a patient can't pay. Of course they didn't think they should lower their cost any, that would never do for them. I hate to have it and hate that I have to use it when I do, rather do without. Now I will say hospitalization and life insurance I feel everyone should have, it really does help but the everyday health care...just sucks all around.

It will do the job for regular check ups. For major issues my deductible is very high.

My employer is going to this deductible thing and I do not like it, so I am going to change my health insurance.

I have good insurance at work, thank God.  Our deductible is $800, and that's with the cheapest plan. They don't cover 100% of everything, but they do for routine care, labs, xrays, etc. Its one of the main things that keeps me at my job, since most other places are outrageous for insurance.
Health insurance is the biggest racket that was ever invented. Now medical care is so expensive that it is unaffordable NOT to have insurance, but then the insurance is unaffordable because they know people need it. Now with Obamacare, it is even worse, because since the insurance companies know that everyone is required to buy insurance, they can hike the prices up and charge anything they want! And most of the Obamacare plans have outrageously HIGH deductibles, before they even pay a cent, so you're buying insurance for the privilege of paying all your medical expenses anyway for the first several thousand dollars.

Yes it is difficult to get health insurance when you don't have a job. It's also difficult to get good health insurance. I was laid off last month, and haven't had health insurance for awhile. My last job didn't offer health insurance.

I'm lucky my wife's health insurance is great for us. Without it we would be seriously broke.

I rarely use health insurance but my family seems to be in the Doctor's office at least once a week. Prior to socialized health insurance I had the best insurance around. Inexpensive, no deductibles and everything was covered. Now that we are all forced to have health insurance my premiums have tripled (even with a one thousand dollar deductible), ten dollar co-pay for prescriptions (if the insurance company will even cover the prescription), and it is easier to determine what the insurance will cover which is basically nothing.  Our highest monthly expense is for insurance: automobile, life, and health.
