Do you eat Apples?

I try to eat apples and other fruit frequently. My favorite apple to eat is the Golden Delicious.  But I cook with all different kinds and make applesauce, apple cake, and apple pie.

I do like apples though I don't each as much as I should. I do also find it hilarious that while apples are good for you, apple seeds contain cyanide which is a lethal poison. Thankfully the hard coating of the seed protects us from it so even if you accidentally swallow it, it will pass through your body relatively safe.

I love apples, but we don't seem to have them around very often.  Golden Delicious are my favorite.


Yesterday we took our daughter and her friend from school to a local apple orchard called Burnham's.  They have harvest festivals every fall and have games and displays for the children: feeding goats, cornfield maze, small bouncy houses, tricycle/hay bale maze, etc.  In a few weeks they will have a pumpkin launcher.


LOT's of fun and we got some apples and fruit sauces from their store while we were there!

I did not know there was a day called International Eat an Apple Day. To answer your question, I love to eat apples. My absolute favorite apples are Granny Smith. I love to eat them with peanut butter or cheese for a snack.

I love my fruits every day I eat an apple.  My favorite are red delicious, granny smith, and gala.
