some people tend to think of things in a negative way.
they don't think of the positive side of the situation.
there is always a little good in any situation.
many times, we have to go through something in order to reach a goal.
I have seen things happen to people and they say " It was hard, and I am glad I went through that. I realize _____."

You cant change the past but you can learn from it.Many that have had bad habits drinking,drugs etc that have turned their lives around have plenty of reason for liking themselves.I dont say they should be egotistical but we should love ourselves as we love our neighbors and try to please God for loving us and giving us life.

Yes, some people are very negative. I personally however try to look at situations from a half-glass-full perspective as it helps me to stay positive. It is too easy to get dragged down with all the negativity in the world, especially if you watch certain news channels, so I pick and choose what I want to watch on television and I only opt for uplifting, entertaining and educational programs which further my positive outlook.

i have so family members who are so negative about everything --they just drain the life out of you listening to all the bad things --i want to say sometime if you would change your thinking then maybe things wouldnt be so bad all the time --i dont spend alot of time with them any more because of this --i just pray for them

That's not unheard of. Bad periods of time have at least one good thing about them.
