Prescription Drugs
« on: October 07, 2015, 10:11:39 am »
Just came back from pharmacy and had 2 prescriptions filled.  Total cost was $789.42, thank God for insurance, I only had to pay $243.17.  I know that is a lot, but it's not $789.42.

Prescription Drugs are so over priced it is insane. If you can get the generic it is not too bad but the others are crazy. :BangHead:

i agree nancy medicine is just as bad with the prices as the doctor bills hospital bills it is not right i lay out 850.00 month for medicine and i don't have insurance that covers the medicine this is why people need to have insurance that covers everything i use a discount but it does not really help

Have you tried the website GoodRx.com?  This website allows you to compare prices for the medications you are taking and shows you where you can get the lowest price prescriptions and offers free discount coupons. It might be worth checking out.  :)

They do without.  And most don't get fined.  If you do not make enough money then you do not have to pay the fine.  Hopefully somebody else will go in next term and that stupid crap will be over turned.

WOW.   Either way that is alot of money.   You should check with doctor to see if the company offers any discounted coupons that they sometimes give to patients or a program to give you a month or 2 free.

It is a sad country that does now allow all their citizens to get the same type of medical treatment.
I could not have purchased those medicines.
We should look to other countries on how to solve this issue but we won't because the drug companies make too much money. It's all politics.

Wow, your prescriptions sure do cost a lot. It is a real shame that healthcare in general is so expensive in this country. It seems like the government should be able to figure out how to insure everybody without everything being so darned expensive.

It's just not fair.  I don't care if it's insurance companies or Pharmaceutical companies.  There is no excuse for the high prices of medicine.  Outrageous.   Have to be careful here because this issue raises my blood pressure and I sure don't want to have to start taking meds!!  Time to breath!
