Sometimes I wake up and an hour later I am not back asleep - so then I would get up, go into the kitchen and eat a small protein/carb snack (supposed to help with going to sleep) such as cheese and crackers and milk, & read the paper for awhile. That usually helps.

I don't have sleeping problem at all.  I can sleep any time and any where I want too, even on a car with one hour distant :)

Reading helps to get my eyes tired and my brain to relax down.

Walk. Get some exercise during the day. You will be surprised how a 30 minute daily walk will enhance your night time sleep.

I actually take two little rectangle pieces off a Hershey milk chocolate bar before going to bed. It seems to put my energy on digesting the candy, instead of keeping me at full alert.

I also like to think of things alphabetically that I love, am grateful for etc. Seldom make it to Z anymore.

Or else, I get up with a bit to eat and watch 15 minutes of a tv program in a dark room. I get weary very quickly.

I don't splurge on the food, just a little seems to help.

Here lately I have been experiencing RLS really bad. Sleeping aids just seem to make it worse for me so I have not been getting much sleep at all.

A hot bath, tea, warm milk, read a book. If it gets worse you could talk to a doctor about it.
