I usually use my credit card to get the cash back but I never buy anything that I can't afford to cover

I think I'll use credit card instead. :)  It will be a lot of things to buy.

I prefer using my credit card and paying it off monthly because of the cash back offers.

I use credit card for recurring expenses and pay off my card in full every month. For day to day purchases I either use cash (try to use cash at restaurants) and debit card for everything else.

Did you know if you use a credit card at a lot of restaurants you are auto charged a tip.  I know one that if you pay with a CC you are auto charged a tip for the HOSTESS.

That would only happen ONCE.

Debit for online purchases. Cash for local businesses purchases.

One thing about a credit card is if you drop it or loose it then you are not responsible for purchases you did not make.  If you drop cash and someone spends it then tough luck for you.  It also amazes me and how careless and clueless people are.  It is unreal how many times people have flopped their card down on the counter after swiping it and left it there.  A few years ago a woman left her wallet on the counter where I was working and NONE of the contact info was correct. So there was no way to get a-hold of her to tell her where it was.
