I am doing fine and hope it last for the rest of the winter.  Don't want to get sick?  Not now!

I did but I took plenty of cold/flu medicine plus some chicken broth soup. After a while the cold went away.

Nothing really to bad this year. A little sinus and throat problems but full on cold or flu. ..mostly due to allergies.

I was very sick, a couple of weeks, with a stomache virus or something!  I don't know what it was but, it has been going around work for about a month!

Not in a while, knock on wood. However, I've had a bunch of sinus infections. Blah.

No and I'm keeping positive thoughts that there will be no cold/flu or any other sickness.   As a child, every Christmas, I would get an earache.  Kept me from enjoying Christmas.  Now that I'm adult I think back about how bad my mom must have felt.  So many visits to the doctor during Christmas.   Very thankful that was a childhood problem that did not continue into adulthood.

For those of you that are getting sick a lot, I have some unsolicited advice that works for me.  :angel11: The first time I turn on the furnace, I break out my humidifiers to keep moisture in the air constantly. Dry mucous membranes make them more susceptible to viruses, etc. You'll also be more uncomfortable when you are sick if the air is dry.

If you don't have a humidifier and you're already sick, plant yourself over a bowl of steaming hot water and cover your head with a towel and breathe it in.

If you do start having symptoms of cold or flu, some various home remedies are quite beneficial, and if you are healthy, your body will heal itself. Hot tea with honey and lemon, lots and lots of water (again to keep the mucous membranes moist so they can slough off germs), chicken soup (homemade is vastly superior and really easy to make [opens sinus passages]), and salt water (or mouthwash) gargles for a sore throat plus a pain reliever, if necessary, are just a few I've had great success with.

If your kids have a sore throat, using a mixture of honey and lemon and administering it by the spoonful is something you can use whenever necessary (no risk of overdose or bad reactions) and most kids like the taste.

I could go on, but most people will not pay attention to anything natural and just go out and get something over the counter that will make them feel worse before they naturally get better in the erroneous belief that they will recover more quickly. Colds and flu take a little time and a little rest.

Stop going back to work before you're all better and spreading it around to your coworkers. I can't believe I have to say this! You will stay sicker longer and you're spreading disease!

I strongly advise against using the nasal sprays to dry up your nasal passages. Bad stuff!! Drying up your nasal passages is not a good thing. Neti pots are worth getting used to for the benefits they provide. They are really fast acting for quick relief.

I hope some of you read this and have a better winter season free of annoying colds and/or flu.  :highfive:
