I did a three day water fast about 10 years ago and afterwards I felt so good.  I felt euphoric and my mind was so clear.  I've been wanting to do another one for a whole because of the feeling.  I finally got around to doing it again a few months ago and it was rough.  I planned on three days but I only lasted less than a day.  I had the worse headache.  But even those short hours I could tell a difference in my body.  I'm definitely going to do it again.

I have never heard of it, but it sounds kind of dangerous to me if it consists of taking in nothing but water for multiple days at a time.  Am I misunderstanding the concept?  And also, what is the purpose or intended result?

I haven't and don't think I would get through it.  I need something in my stomach at least once a day.  :-\

That's not recommended for diabetics, so I haven't tried it.

I have heard good and bad things about this. It is not recommended for everyone obviously (like if you have health problems). My understanding of the body, especially the brain, is that you don't want to do abrupt changes. Our bodies don't like abrupt changes. So I haven't and probably wouldn't try this.

fasting don't mean drinking water either. You know stable even intake smaller proportions all through the day is the best. Have you tried that, is a skill too, much better for you.

Have tried it, and felt an increased taste sensation after wards. Even an apple tastes much better, and I lost my sweet cravings.

If I don't eat regularly I get some pretty nasty headaches. I just try to eat better in general. I have heard of it working for some people though.

Ah ha! So I did some reading up on IF and found that you should do your workouts in a fasted state and use the food for a refeed. This will allow your muscles to suck up the carbs and you wont bloat

If you don't eat a certain amount of protein a day, your body begins to cannibalize your organs, including your heart & your reproductive organs making them weaker.    You have to always eat protein & about 400 calories a day or you are doing serious damage to your body that has long term consequences.    Try a fast with some sort of protein shake, that is the healthy way to treat your body.

Fasting isn't a good idea and a bad way to loose weight. You can loose more then the weight if you don't watch it. I know someone who did this a lil to much and lost all her teeth because of pore nutrition
