Caution about a Video
« on: November 23, 2015, 10:22:27 am »
Twice now, I have gotten a spammy pop up on a video that I am attempting. It tells me that my computer is infected, etc and I need to call the given phone number immediately. I am not able to do anything including quit Chrome or even put my computer to sleep. My Chrome page has frozen.

If you have a problem like that, just force quit Chrome, close your computer for a while and then go back. That has resolved my problem. But it did happen two separate times. These are one cent videos and I can not remember which ones any longer.

Has anyone else had a problem like I am describing.

I have had the same experience and handled it in the same manner.  Fusion needs to take care of this.

Yep, I've had the same thing happen to me.  I wasn't working on Fusion Cash at the time, I was on another earning site.

In fact, it's happened to me at least 2 times.

Yes, when that happens it's 'Operation Shut Down Mode'.  Force quit, wait a few moments then resume.

Since my experience was not while logged on FC, I'm not sure if they are directly related to any videos.  They could be and it's well worth having checked out but these pop ups may be random.

It may be that the video in question is a trojan and is on more than one site. I only experienced this problem on Fusion Cash and I have opened a support ticket to let them know of the problem.

I've had that happen, too. If you scroll down on the "white" page, there's a sentence there that you can check if you "don't want to see ..... again." After you check the box, you can go to the top of the white page and close it at the "X"  and also get out of the blue screen behind it.

It's not only on Fusion Cash. it's on other sites, too.

BTW, if you use Windows, and if all else fails, you can "End Task"  Cntl, Alt, Delete keys at the same time. Then you highlight the task and "End Task."  I don't know if the newer Windows have that nice little escape, but the older versions do.

It happened to me yesterday also. I had to shut my PC off manually and back on. I said to call Microsoft at the number given. I only had it happen the one time. I went to my Mcafee and made sure my security was as high as it could get after that.

So far I haven't had this problem, but I'm sure I'll eventually hit on the infected video. Unless someone can remember exactly which one it is, and warn us!

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I usually just hit the Ctrl + Alt + Del at the same time and end the task if I cannot exit by clicking the button or if it's the ones that pop up over and over- I just click out of my connection to the internet on my laptop, give it a second and they stop which allows you to exit out of all of them.

I have never had this happen to me and I hope that I never do.  I use Internet Explorer to go on this site.  I have never used Chrome.

That has happened to me before, but not on FC. A pop up claims that your computer is infected, but it's not. They want you to call that number they offer and then they want you to pay them to remove the virus, but there is no virus. It's a scam.
