Brett Favre number retired on Thanksgiving
« on: November 29, 2015, 12:26:32 am »
Just a note of congratulations to NFL's ultimate Iron Man, Brett Favre, who had his number retired in Green Bay this past Thanksgiving. It was nice to see the other Packer legendary QB there to share the stage, Bart Starr.

That was a nice thing to do for him,  he had many trials and tribulations during his time as a player and he just kept sucking it up and going on.  Congrats dude!

He was a great Quarterback. I enjoyed watching him play.

So glad they finally did the right thing by Brett Favre and it was great to see Bart Starr there too but sad that he has so much trouble getting around.

I got teary eyed when Bart Starr came on the field. Starr seemed to recognize his old stomping grounds despite his advanced age. Favre was a great quarter back. Even though he had played some shenanigans with going to the Jets and then off to the Vikings, he still gave his best years to the Green Bay Packer organization. And he was probably one of the best quarterbacks that the Vikings had had for about twenty years.  It is too bad that they lost the Thanksgiving game and a little bit ironic that they lost it by four points because Favre's jersey number was four. Packers are scrambling to maintain their hold over the NFC north. I think that it is going to come down to their matchup with the Vikings in three weeks.
