What's you're favorite fruit to eat at this time of year? Better yet... with chocolate drizzled over it?

Do we have seasonal fruits in the Midwest?

Anything drizzled with chocolate is good, but I don't like to adulterate fruits with it. They're so good by themselves.

That being said, since I thought of dried fruits when I saw this post, my mother-in-law [God rest her soul] made the best fruitcake I ever tasted because she put so much fruit in it. I normally hate the stuff, but hers was fab.  :star:

You caught onto the Midwest thing.. precisely why I was asking. I make a Tres Leche at work and with the strawberry shortage I've been "working" with canned peaches, blueberries, kiwi and raspberries.  Guess I was looking for suggestions.

This time of year I really like Clementines but just plain with nothing on them.

Great prices on clementines.  Cuties are good too.  I don't know, maybe it's me.  I don't like chocolate and citrus together.  my best friends Dad buys those chocolate orange infused *bleep*/wedges and once I have one piece I'm good for a few years on that flavor combination.

fresh fruit for a school fundraiser - that's smart.  I'd rather buy that than expensive wrapping paper.
